NSHMBA Conference take-aways

The NSHMBA conference was tons of fun. I met lots of great people and was able to network with many corporate recruiters. Target throws the best parties, btw. Also, special thanks to Macy’s for the gift card I won while visiting their booth!

I recommend students attend the professional development workshops held the day before the career expo. I know that many of our members in the Latin American Business Club at Tepper and most of the 7,000 conference attendees got the Career Expo only pass, but I think getting tickets to the whole conference was totally worth it. The professional development workshops were insightful and it was good to meet and speak with the panelists afterwards. Also, NSHMBA had a free resume review and mock interview session before the conference that was useful. So, if you’re thinking of going next year, get the whole conference pass so you can go to the workshops and network with recruiters over the fancy lunches, dinners and networking receptions.

I’m glad you received so much out of the conference. Keep up the good work…
