    Hi David,

First and foremost, Thanks for your excellent article on Cloudera Hadoop Training. I too have registered and will be attending soon.
I really look up to you as a role model as I also want to see myself in the same profile of technology consulting. I have around 9 years of experience in data analysis, Data mining, Database Develpment, Performance Tuning and advanced SQL. Currently I am reading Pig Latin. I am currently based out of Bangalore, India.
Looking forward to hearing from you and knowing you better.
    Thanks,
    Kunal

    Hi David,
I am a graduate student at UCSB. I came across your web site when I was searching for neo4j and the igraph library from R. I am completely new to neo4j, I was wondering
if you could guide me how to connect R with neo4j. I don’t seem to find a good doc with some examples how to connect R with neo4j. I appreciate any comment.
    Thank you

    Hi David,

Came across your website as I was researching some topics. You mentioned that you had used Hadoop/HDFS for an ETL solution. Would be curious to see what your experience was and if you had any published any article/insight in that space.

    Thanks.

Hi David, thanks for your input.
I have been watching this Big Data space for some time now and could not make a conclusion on the following questions in terms of Jobs/ Careers.
    1. We have Hadoop – administrator role – responsible for setting up the clusters, nodes – basically a Hadoop env.
    2. Then we have the Data scientist role – mainly into analytics/ mining of data
    3. The other important one for me – Hadoop Developer – when we say a certified Hadoop developer – what would be their roles & responsibilities? do they really code for MapR? We already have some products such as Talend OpenStudio, Pentaho which helps the developers with UI instead of learning the technologies/ components of Hadoop in detail.
So from job perspective, is it better for me to get certified as Hadoop Developer or should I learn the products such as Talend?

    Thanks.
